Project Overview
This project demonstrates a hybrid 2D/3D compositing workflow that integrates Spine 2D character animation, Blender lighting and camera compositing, EmberGen volumetric simulations, and After Effects post-production. The focus is on achieving a cohesive cinematic look by blending 2D animation with 3D lighting and particle effects.
Concept & Planning
The project began with extensive research into japanese aesthetics and their school environments. I created mood boards and reference collections to establish the visual direction, focusing on creating a believable yet stylized world with strong atmospheric lighting.
Blender Classroom and Model
Workflow
Using Photoshop, I redrew and seperated the character into segments for animation. Special attention was given to eyes and hair to add realism. The classroom was a model i found online, i then tweaked and changed parts to make it fit the composit better..

Technical Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was fixing the lighting in the classroom, because the lightrays didnt want to render through the class, so i had to remodel the side i wanted to use for the render. I would love to add more details that went into this project, but i lost my project files after a data wipe.
